Schools back in session March 1st as Abbott Elementary Season 2 comes to Disney+.
Get your planners out class, I have an important date for you, and you don’t want to miss it. March 1st, 10 episodes of the new season are dropping on Disney+, and if that’s not enough, they’ve confirmed that more episodes will be coming later in the year.
Since season 1 dropped back in 2021, the show has picked up a HUGE 53 awards nominations including Emmy’s, SAG’s, HCA’s and Golden Globes, and they’ve only gone and won 25 of them. For my maths students out there, that’s around half of them.
If you haven’t seen it, Abbott Elementary is a workplace comedy following a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal —as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life, and though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
If you’re a fan of Parks and Rec, The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, this should be your next watch. And if you’ve already seen it, go on and treat yourself to a rewatch before the new episodes drop next month.
Abbott Elementary Season 1 is available to stream now on Disney+ from £7.99 a month.
